WHILE CANVASSING THE AREA SURROUNDING MAT ASPHALT ON APRIL 23, 2020, NO ODORS WERE OBSERVED AS THEY WERE NOT PROCESSING ASPHALT AT THE TIME OF THE INSPECTION. IT WAS NOTICED THAT WHEN TRUCKS WITH MATERIAL DROP OFF WERE DRIVING, THEY WOULD KICK UP THE DUST FROM THE PAVEMENT AND DUST WAS ALSO PRODUCED WHEN THEY DUMPED THE PRODUCT. THE PAVEMENT ONSITE WAS NOT WET NOR WAS A WATER TRUCK OBSERVED. I ALSO OBSERVED PARTICLE MATTER AROUND THE BAG HOUSE. I SPOKE TO THE OPERATING MANAGER AND HE EXPLAINED THE PROCESS OF PRODUCING ASPHALT. HE ALSO EXPLAINED THAT THEY HAVE A WATER TRUCK TO CONTROL DUST. HE ALSO SAID THEY CLEAN UP DAILY AND THE PARTICULATE BY THE BAG HOUSE WILL BE CLEANED UP. I WILL INSPECT TOMORROW TO SEE IF THE PROPERTY HAS BEEN CLEANED.” |
